Mini Healthy Bread
These mini loaves are just what you need on a perfect Sunday morning. We used multigrain flour for this recipe which is pretty healthy. Have that while its still warm with some butter and cheese (maybe some gato pima) or use them as burger bread! But if you’re planning a picnic lunch, this will be great with our shrimp & avocado salad along with a generous helping of homemade hummus.
The best thing about this recipe is that since we don’t use yeast, we don’t need to leave the dough to rest and you can still get these delicious soft loaves.
Ingredients
- 300 g Multigrain Flour
- 2 and 1/2 Teaspoons baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 250g plain yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- Optional: a handful of grated cheese of your choice, origano or fine herbs
Preparation
- In a large bowl, all the dried ingredients. (this is where you add the optional as well)
- Next, add the yogurt and olive oil. Knead it into a soft dough.
- Grease your muffin tray or small oven bowls with butter so that the dough won’t stick to the pan.
- Form small balls with the dough and place them in the bowls. Press in the middle to it if you wish to have the shape of your typical pain-maison
- Bake at 180C or depending on your pre-heated oven for 15 to 20 minutes
