Summer Smoothie
I love summer in the tropics but sometimes I just can’t bear the heat and the burning sun! Here’s how I cope with it; by sipping a refreshing and nutritious homemade smoothie!!! It’s pretty simple. You just need a knife and a blender to get going!
Ingredients for 5 tall glasses:
- 1 Pineapple
- 1 Beetroot
- 1 Carrot
- 2 Apples
- 2 Tablespoon oats
- 3 glasses of water
Preparation:
- Chop all your fruits into cubes.
- Put the fruits and vegetables, along with the oats in your blender with 1 glass of water. Blend for a few seconds. *
- Add the remaining water and blend again.
- Pour into jars or glasses and store in the fridge. You may also serve immediately with some ice cubes.
*If you’re worried about the taste, you can add some honey or sugar. My personal trick is to add a little bit of peanut butter before blending everything. It works great! You can find the recipe for homemade peanut butter: HERE
