Mango Tart Delight

 

Today I will share my recipe for this wonderful Mango Tart.  It’s super easy to prepare but absolutely delicious.

Mango Tart

For 10 Serves:

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 250g shortbread biscuits
  • 125g butter
  • 1/2 Cup coarsely grated almonds (Optional)

For the Mango Filling:

  • 2 Cups of Fresh Mango Puree (3/5 Ripe Mangoes)
  • 1 Cup Whipping Cream
  • Sugar (Optional)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat your oven.  Grease your baking pan/ Tart Mold with butter and keep aside.
  2. Crush your biscuits into fine crumbs.  Transfer to a bowl.  Add the butter and the almonds.  Mix well.
  3. Spread and flatten the mixture into your Tart Mold.  Bake for 10/15 minutes on 180C.  Let it cool down when ready.
  4. For the Mango Puree, cut your mangoes into small pieces.  Transfer to a blender and mix until you obtain the consistency of a thick puree.
  5. Mix the whipping cream to the mango puree.  Note: Ripe mangoes are extremely sweet and whipping cream does have a little percentage of sugar.  If you wish to add sugar, taste the mixture before adding the sugar gradually.
  6. Pour the Mango Filling in your Tart Mold.  Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Your Mango Tart is ready!
