Apple Chips
How about an easy but low calorie snack to munch on while watching a good movie? This is something I love to do whenever there’s too many apples in the fridge and trust me, it makes a great sugar-free (YES!) snack.
You can make these with green or red apples and it’s very handy. If you tend to snack a lot, my apple chips will become one of your favorite treats. You can make these with green or red apples and it’s very handy.
The best part is that you can make a huge batch and store them in an air-tight container. These will last you for days and they’re pretty healthy and easy to make.
I prefer making mine with red apples which are generally sweeter. These apple chips can be very addictive.
Fair warning, you will need to use a mandolin to cut the apples into thin uniform slices. A mandolin can be a dangerous tool so there’s no need to rush with it.

- Cut your apples into halves and remove the pitted area. You may want to cut them into quarters if you find that easier.
- Next, using your mandolin, cut your apples into uniform slices.
- Transfer your apples into a bowl and toss in some cinnamon powder. You can use around 2 teaspoons.
- Set your apple slices on the parchment paper. You don’t need to leave much space.
- Bake at around 140C for around 6 to 8 minutes, depending on your oven. Once you see that they are a bit dry and a little brown around the edges, it means that they’re ready. You should keep a close eye on them because they can burn easily.
- Once ready, transfer into a plate and let them cool. You can keep them in an air-tight container. It will last you around a week or so.
